On Monday evening, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) unleashed a treacherous and indiscriminate airstrike on Sheikh Al-Gaili Mosque and the surrounding neighborhood in Wad Madani, Gezeira State. This merciless attack instantly claimed the lives of 31 worshipers, while dozens more were left wounded, many fighting for their lives.

This barbaric act — dropping barrel bombs on innocent civilians and desecrating a place of worship — marks yet another grotesque chapter in the jihadist Islamic Movement's reign of terror. These actions are not only morally reprehensible but an undeniable violation of international law, amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

In our grief, we stand in solidarity with the victims and their families. We offer our deepest condolences, knowing that no words can heal the pain of this loss. We will not stand idly by as these atrocities continue. We call on the international community, human rights defenders, and every individual who cherishes human dignity to raise their voices in condemnation of this monstrous act. The world must not turn a blind eye to the bombing of civilians in their homes and places of worship, orchestrated by the corrupt and terror-driven SAF leadership and their terrorist allies from the former regime, operating under the Islamic Movement.

Our resolve remains strong. We will once and for all free our beloved nation from the grip of this oppressive regime. We will continue this fight until we build a new national army — one that is not only professional but is rooted in the principles of justice and democracy and driven by a vision that puts first the people of Sudan.
